GDPR Compliance

This page explains how Qrelle applies GDPR principles, the legal bases for processing personal data and the rights available to data subjects.

  1. General Data Protection Regulation. The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) gives individuals in the European Union and European Economic Area stronger rights and control over their personal data. Qrelle, a digital QR menu software service provided by Aerelle Creative, aims to follow GDPR principles and protect user privacy rights.
  2. Legal bases for processing. We may process personal data to perform our contract and provide the service, pursue legitimate interests such as platform security and service improvement, rely on consent for marketing or optional features, and comply with legal obligations.
  3. Your rights under GDPR. Where applicable, you may have the right to access your personal data, request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data, request deletion in certain circumstances, receive your data in a structured and commonly used format, restrict processing, object to processing based on legitimate interests or direct marketing, and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
  4. Data retention. We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in our Privacy Policy, including service delivery, account management, security, support and legal obligations. When data is no longer needed, it may be deleted, anonymized or made inaccessible.
  5. International data transfers. Your data may be processed outside the EU/EEA. For such transfers, we aim to apply GDPR-compatible safeguards such as appropriate contractual protections, adequacy decisions and necessary technical and organizational measures.
  6. Automated decision-making. Qrelle does not use solely automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects or similarly significant effects concerning you. Automated processing such as analytics is used to understand and improve the service.
  7. Security measures. We use safeguards for data in transit, storage security, access controls, authentication mechanisms, regular updates, restricted authorized access and reasonable incident response processes for potential data breaches.
  8. Right to lodge a complaint. If you believe your personal data has not been handled in accordance with GDPR, you may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. We encourage you to contact us first so we can review your concern directly. European data protection authorities can be found through the European Data Protection Board: https://edpb.europa.eu.
  9. How to exercise your rights. To exercise GDPR rights, email privacy@qrelle.com with your request, provide enough information for identity verification and specify the right you wish to exercise. We generally respond within 30 days; complex requests may take longer as permitted by law. Exercising rights is free unless a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive.
